The Rugby Football Union has struck a deal for bmi to become the official airline of the England rugby team, taking the contract over from long-standing sponsor British Airways.
bmi is London Heathrow’s second largest airline, with more than 1,800 flights every week across the UK, Europe, Middle East, Central Asia and Africa.
As part of the deal, bmi will have exclusive naming rights for Twickenham Stadium’s business debenture lounge, which will be renamed the bmi Diamond Club. Its purpose built lounge, restaurant and bar provide exclusive facilities for the RFU’s South Stand business debenture holders to dine, socialise or entertain clients on match days.
In addition, bmi will benefit from a range of branding opportunities including Twickenham Stadium signage and match day promotions.
