The Virgin Active London Triathlon will have a Bose music station positioned on the run section of the event, after signing the audio company as a new official partner of the race, which will take place this summer on 27th and 28th July.
The Triathlon will be the first event to feature TeamVA, consisting of Olympic silver medalist gymnast Louis Smith MBE, boxing gold medalist Nicola Adams MBE, taekwondo gold medalist Jade Jones MBE and Paralympic sprinter Sophia Warner.
The team will also take part in the Prudential RideLondon and the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay.
The partnership was launched at Virgin Active’s Aldersgate Health Club in London with a bespoke brick training session, led by professional triathlete Jo Carritt, for a selection of media, charity participants and competition winners.
Philip Carpenter, managing director of Bose in the UK, said: ‘We’re excited to come on board as a sponsor of this year’s Virgin Active London Triathlon, the world’s largest triathlon that takes in the sights of this stunning capital.’
‘This training session demonstrated Boses’s great alignment with the event, providing a fantastic product which can be used in training and the ability to provide high quality sound to the route.’
Jo Carritt, the professional triathlete and part of the Challenger World Triathlete team, added: ‘It was good to put the new Bose SIE2i headphones to the test during today’s brick session. I’ll definitely be using them as part of my training ahead of the Virgin Active London Triathlon and it’s great I’ll be able to listen to some quality music around the course too.’
