Olympic Games Worldwide Partner Bridgestone announced a new roadshow which it will take across the UK between 5th and 12th August as it hopes to mark the ‘success’ of Team GB at Tokyo 2020.
The Bridgestone Olympic Games Experience will provide fans with the opportunity to test their skills against Olympians, according to the brand, which says the event is an experiential part of its Chase Your Dream, No Matter What campaign.
The roadshow will take place at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Westfield on the 5th and 6th August as part of the Official Team GB Fan Zone, the Birmingham Bull Ring on the 8th-9th August, and Manchester’s Piccadilly Gardens on the 11th and 12th August.
The brand also says that COVID protocols will be in place, while the activation will be held in a converted Bridgestone Olympic Games Experience themed truck, hosting five Olympic themed challenges. Alongside the truck, an I Love Tokyo sign created with Bridgestone tyres, will create the backdrop to ‘celebrate Team GB’s success’.
Participants will be encouraged to adopt an ‘athlete mindset’ to accomplish their dreams and can test themselves against Bridgestone Olympic Games ambassadors at events such a step challenge to match a personal best set by two-time bronze medalist and French sprinter, Christophe Lemaitre, and a reflex test against Britain’s taekwondo athlete and Olympic Games medalist, Lutalo Muhammad.
“As a Worldwide Olympic Partner we support a number of Olympic Games Ambassadors and have come to learn of the motivation and mindset required to Chase Your Dream, No Matter What,” said Andy Mathias, Marketing Manager, Bridgestone UK.
“With Olympic themed challenges set by our ambassadors, we hope to create an enjoyable experience that gives visitors a glimpse of this and motivates them to chase their own dream, no matter what.”
