The British & Irish Lions have extended their supplier partnership with Rhino for the 2025 Australia Tour, marking fifth consecutive collaboration between the two parties.
The UK-based company will provide the Lions with a full range of technical equipment, including scrummaging machines, contact gear and skill products.
Additionally, Rhino will supply kits for both the Lions and Wallabies’ training sessions, as well as post pads, corner poles pads and moon flags for the Test series.
As per the agreement, most of the training equipment used by the Lions and Wallabies will be donated to local school and rugby clubs in the UK, Ireland and Australia after the tour.
The Test series begins on July 19th at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium, followed by the second Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on July 26th, and the final Test match will be played in front of over 80,000 spectators at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on August 2nd.
In the buildup to the first Test, the Lions will face an invitational Australian and New Zealand team at the Adelaide Oval, with additional pre-Test matches set to take place in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, and Melbourne.
Ben Calveley, CEO of The British & Irish Lions, said, “Rhino have been a fantastic partner to The British & Irish Lions for many years, and we are pleased to extend our relationship to include the 2025 Tour to Australia.
“We are committed to making an impact off the pitch and working with Rhino will allow us to do this by supporting the grassroots of the game.”
Rhino CEO Reg Clark added,“Working with the Lions and Australian officials, coaches and players is a highlight of the rugby calendar for us, and we can’t wait to get started again”.
Earlier this month, to celebrate 50 years since the 1974 Lions toured South Africa, the Lions commissioned portrait photography of the squad to celebrate their legacy.
