This year’s first-ever QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot on 15th October will be the richest day in British horseracing history, with over £3 million in prize money, organisers claim.
For the first time, five championship races will run during one afternoon on Ascot’s royal turf.
The races will be run in prize money order, building up to the two headline contests at the end of the afternoon – the £1 million Queen Elizabeth II Stakes over a mile and the richest race ever run in Britain, the £1.3 million QIPCO Champion Stakes.
The sixth and final race on the card will be for the sport’s best apprentice jockeys.
Tickets for QIPCO British Champions Day start from £26 per person, with fine Dining packages from £265pp (inc. admission) and are on sale now, while under 18s are admitted free.
