British Rowing has teamed up with virtual rowing app EXR in order to drive participation in indoor rowing.
The collaboration will see EXR host British Rowing online events on a monthly basis, inviting rowers from across the world to take part.
EXR will also partner the British Rowing Indoor Championships on 7th December, which will be staged at the NEC in Birmingham.
The immersive platform allows users to row in real-life 3D locations, and is accessible via every rowing machine model and brand.
Chris Farrell, Project Manager for Indoor Rowing said, “EXR supports British Rowing in its efforts to attract more people to indoor rowing and stay on the machine for longer.
“Sometimes the mental struggle can be harder than the physical exhaustion, so I’m excited for our members to push their limits thanks to EXR. The app also helps British Rowing to connect with more people worldwide.
“Together, we’d like to make indoor rowing more fun, effective, and inclusive for everyone moving into the future.”
