Tennis player Marcus Willis has teamed up with British Tennis to help encourage other men to pick up a racket, head to the court and sharpen their game.
25-year-old Marcus was at Cannon Hill Park in Birmingham with his fans ‘the willbombers’ to lead an Advantage Tennis Training session.

Advantage Tennis Training is a new park-based initiative from British Tennis aimed at men in their 20s and 30s. Each 90-minute long weekly session is run by a professional coach and focuses on a different tactical theme with skill’s based training that helps men improve their game whilst also enjoying a work out.
Marcus said: “Bespoke training sessions like this that make tennis fun, but also help give you the competitive edge, are great for the sport. For me, the enjoyment of tennis is brilliant and that’s what I’ve been doing over the last few months – enjoying my tennis.”

Rob Dearing, head of participation said: “We wanted to give men all over the UK the opportunity to get on court and sharpen their tennis skills and Advantage does just this. These weekly training sessions are ‘pay as you go’, so easily fit into busy lifestyles. It’s a great way to de-stress after a hectic day and the perfect way to meet new people to play against.”
