Mission, a line of athlete-engineered products, has announced a partnership with international rugby star Bryan Habana in a deal that will see the brand provide the Toulon and South Africa winger with cooling products for different climates.
The partnership marks Mission’s first move into the global rugby market, and will work closely with Habana on day to day training and match days by providing him with cooling products.
Mission specialises in technologies to help combat overheating. The brand’s EnduraCool line delivers sustained cooling effects in a soft fabric that works without becoming heavy and wet.
Commenting on the partnership, Habana said: “I play my rugby all over the world and have experienced playing in some extremely hot climates. When you overheat it is difficult to keep playing at the same level and to keep the mental focus you need to perform at your best. That’s why partnering with Mission makes perfect sense, as I now have the right products to make sure I stay cool under any conditions.”
CEO and founder Josh Shaw said: “Entering the European rugby market is an extremely exciting partnership for us and Bryan’s hard working and athletic style of play compliments the brand well. Rugby is a demanding sport, and the players need to make sure they take care of their bodies to play at the highest level. The demand for innovative, affordable and athlete-engineered products that enhance performance by regulating temperature has never been higher, and it’s great to have an ambassador like Bryan who can demonstrate the importance of thermoregulation.”
Habana joins a group of athletes including French Open tennis champion, Serena Williams and Spanish Golfer, Sergio Garcia.
