Bt Signs Up Macarthur For Bt Team Ellen

BT has agreed a three-year sponsorship deal with renowned British sailor Ellen
MacArthur creating an outfit under the team name BT Team Ellen.

The telecoms brand has signed up MacArthur alongside fellow sailors Sébastien
Josse of France and Australian Nick Moloney with Josse competing in the 2008
solo Vendée Globe.

The trio will join BT’s existing sailing sponsorship agreements which include
teams in the IMOCA Ocean Racing World Championships and the Extreme 40 catamaran
series.

The ‘BT Team Ellen’ sponsorship will focus on BT’s corporate social
responsibility campaign under BT’s ‘Better World’ banner using the association
to promote the different aspects of the initiative.
