BT Sport is to broadcast the Gfinity Elite Series throughout August and into September to further strengthen its commitment to eSports.
The tournament features competitive gameplay between eight franchises comprised of the best professional players and future stars who advanced through the Gfinity Challenger Series.
“This fantastic tie-up with Gfinity marks our latest move to support and engage with the passionate and extensive gaming community here in the UK,” said Andy Haworth, managing director of content and strategy, BT.
“The popularity of competitive gaming is growing rapidly and we are excited to announce that the inaugural season of the Elite Series will be broadcast on BT Sport.”

Weekly clashes will be shown on BT Sport, starting with Street Fighter V on Tuesday, August 1st at 9.30pm on BT Sport 3.
The deal comes a few days after BBC3 made their first made in eSports, showing the Gfinity Elite League Series One.
