Bt Sport Extends Sunset+vine Deal
BT Sport has extended its annual contract to produce its live coverage of Premier League football and rugby union matches with Sunset+Vine until 2018.
The TV sports production specialist has signed a two year extension of a deal that was set to expire next summer.
It will continue to provide its services for BT Sport’s coverage of Premier League and FA Cup football, as well as original studio-based programming such as the European Football Show.
It will also produce UEFA Europa League coverage in 2015/16 and Scottish Professional Football Leagues games until the end of the 2016/17 season, as well as BT Sport’s rugby union coverage, including the Aviva Premiership and the European Champions Cup.
Sunset+Vine landed its initial three year deal with BT, thought to be worth between £100m to £132m, in 2012.
Sunset+Vine chairman Jeff Foulser commented: “The original contract with BT Sport was transformational for Sunset+Vine’s business and this extension is a real vote of confidence in our people.
