“We are a multi-channel sports marketing agency delivering communications, sponsorship activation, consultancy and sales services for our clients.
“We have built our agency structure to represent both brands and rights holders. With separate divisions, we can leverage the capabilities between the teams and share market insight; this allows us to be “creatively led but commercially driven.”
“The question we are always asked is why the name Mongoose! We love the spirit of the Mongoose and its ability to come out on top especially against the much-feared cobra. We try to embody the characteristics of a Mongoose in everything we do – they are ambitious and nimble with lightning quick reflexes, but also fiercely loyal and look out for their own.
“We are proud to work with brands such as The North Face, New Balance, Paddy Power, Aldermore Bank and represent premium properties such as Wasps Rugby, The Boat Race, Jacksonville Jaguars and Silverstone.”
Why do you think you made the shortlist?
“We are delighted to be shortlisted for Young Agency of the Year. We had a fantastic 2018 and have continued our upward trajectory and bottom line growth year on year.
“The shortlist is a true testament to the whole team at Mongoose – A brilliant group of people that deliver for our clients, all with huge amounts of energy, commitment and laughter.
“Over the last 3 years we have developed a strong roster of clients, that give us the platform and opportunity to deliver great work – leading to two other Sports Industry Award nominations this year with our clients The North Face and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
“In 2018 we expanded our scope of work globally, continuing our pan European activity but also building a roster of Japanese clients at a very interesting time in the region.”
What has made this year fun?
“We are lucky to have a brilliant Mongoose family – a team of rockstars and a group of clients that we all love working on.
“The variety of our work means that every day is different and also gives the team the opportunity to travel the world, be that to the mountains with The North Face or Las Vegas for CES.”
Who’s your MVP?
“There’s no way to single anyone out for this. Every single “Goose” contributed to deliver a fantastic year in 2018.”
How do you plan to celebrate?
“We’re really chuffed by the nomination, so to celebrate that achievement itself the agency will head for a day at the cricket in the summer (to watch the newly crowned world champions!!)
“And if we win then current voting indicates a Mongoose ski trip next winter!”
