Budweiser Extends Man Utd Deal

Budweiser has extended its sponsorship deal with Manchester United through to the end of the 2009/10 season.


Budweiser, which has been a sponsor the current English Premier League champions since 2002,  will be granted exclusive pouring rights at concessions and digital on-field signage displayed in both English and Mandarin, which is seen by Manchester United’s massive Chinese fan base. 


The sponsorship also grants Budweiser rights to use the Manchester United marks and player images in advertising, point-of-sale materials and packaging in key markets in Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa, North America and South America. 


Budweiser continue to have hospitality packages and match tickets for promotional activities as part of their contract.


To support the sponsorship throughout the 2008/2009 season, Budweiser will launch promotions in the UK, Mexico, Argentina and Vietnam for consumers to win trips to Manchester United matches.


Budweiser has strong ties in football having also been a sponsor of the Premier League since 2002 and the Official Beer sponsor of the FIFA World Cup since 1986 and will continue its support in 2010 and 2014.
