BBC Sport, Prime Video, The Overlap and That’s Football will showcase Bundesliga fixtures for their UK audiences during the 2025-26 season.
BBC Sport has secured a multi-year deal for the UK’s free-to-air broadcasting rights for Germany’s Bundesliga, starting from the 2025-26 season and running through to 2027.
The agreement will see one live match streamed each Friday night on the BBC Sport website, app, and BBC iPlayer. The coverage will begin on Friday 22nd August 2025 with the fixture between Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig.
Alex Kay-Jelski, Director of BBC Sport, said, “To be able to include Bundesliga matches within our live football offering is phenomenal, especially Bayern Munich’s opening game featuring England’s captain Harry Kane. I’m proud BBC Sport has such an impressive portfolio of football coverage across all of our platforms – from live games to highlights, digital clips to breaking news on the website, we’ve got fans covered this season.”

Prime Video has also secured a multi-year deal to broadcast German Bundesliga matches on its UK Pay-Per-View (PPV) service.
UK Bundesliga fans can watch at least two exclusive Sunday fixtures per match week for £2.49 per game. The offering requires no Prime membership or long-term commitment and kicks off on 24th August 2025. The deal also includes selected midweek games and relegation play-off matches.
Tim Wood, Head of Rights and Business Affairs, Prime Video Sport, EMEA, said, “By expanding our Pay-Per-View selection with Bundesliga matches, we’re giving UK football fans more ways to engage with European football throughout the season without long-term commitments or subscriptions.“

The Overlap has additionally secured rights to live stream Bundesliga matches in the UK and Ireland for the first time through a partnership with the German league.
The partnership gives fans in the UK and Ireland free access to every Friday night fixture in the Bundesliga during the 2025/26 season, starting with Bayern Munich’s match featuring Harry Kane on 22nd August. In addition to the live matches, the channel has also carried clips and highlights from across the competition.
This agreement has marked the first time live football has been shown on The Overlap and the first time a major domestic league has partnered with an independent digital channel in this way.
Over the course of the 2025/26 season, its Bundesliga coverage has included commercial partnerships, contributions from fan and ex-player talent, watch-alongs, analysis, and weekly content across its existing programming.
Scott Melvin, CEO of The Overlap, said, “ We’ve become one of the leading platforms for digital sports content all without a ball being kicked, so it’s fitting that our first move into live sport is with one of the biggest leagues in the world.”

Creator-led channel ‘That’s Football’ has struck a landmark deal with Bundesliga International, becoming the first independent channel to broadcast official live rights from a major European league.
The partnership will see ‘That’s Football’ stream 20 live Bundesliga matches on Friday nights during the 2025-26 season, alongside a weekly show featuring highlights, previews, and analysis across 34 episodes.
Host Mark Goldbridge called the agreement “a huge moment,” noting the opportunity to bring the Bundesliga’s energy directly to fans in a unique, community-driven way.
The deal marks a major step for creator platforms, placing ‘That’s Football’ alongside Sky Sports, Amazon Prime, and the BBC in the Bundesliga’s UK and Ireland rights strategy.
