Sportswear brand Canterbury of New Zealand is continuing its foray into football after signing a kit sponsorship deal with Coca-Cola Championship club Preston North End.
The club record three-year partnership, which begins from the start of the 2009/10 season, will see Canterbury of New Zealand supply all the first team, youth team, women’s team, centre of excellence with match kit and training apparel.
The range of apparel to be worn by all the club’s stars of the present and future will include Canterbury’s IonX BaseLayer, a state of the art technology which creates a process of ionisation in the body, raising athletes’ performance levels and speeding up recovery time.
The Club will unveil the new home and away strip shortly with pre-orders being taken from the 18th April and via the club website and in-store. The kit will go on sale from the end of May 2009 and will be worn from the first pre-season game, when the fixtures are scheduled, in July.
The deal marks Canterbury’s second major foray into football having already signed a similar kit sponsorship deal with Premier League club Portsmouth.
