England football manager Fabio Capello has been signed up the team’s kit sponsor Umbro as a brand ambassador.
The personal endorsement deal between Umbro and Capello is for eight years and will see the Italian back the brand’s footwear apparel and equipment.
Umbro has been the long-standing official kit supplier of the England team since 1952 through a deal with The Football Association has recently launched the latest reincarnation of the England strip at the end of March.
Cappelo was involved in the development and design of the new collared kit and is the first England manager since Sir Alf Ramsay to have a role in the direction of new England apparek.
Umbro was bought out by rival sportswear brand Nike two years ago.
