Casio Computer Co has announced that it has renewed its contract with Formula One’s Red Bull Racing team for the 2011 season.

This is the third year Casio have supported the team and they are hoping that this year will be the most prominent, by using the sponsorship to strengthen the brand image of its EDIFICE full-metal watches for men.

EDIFICE has been designated as the official team watch for the upcoming season and as part of the partnership the Casio logo will also be appearing on the racing suits worn by drivers Vettel and Webber, the mechanics uniforms, and the nose sections of the race cars.

In addition to using team images in EDIFICE advertising, Casio plans to work closely with Red Bull Racing to release special collaborative watch models.

Red Bull Racing’s team principal, Christian Horner, said: ‘we’re delighted to continue the partnership between Red Bull Racing and Casio and to build an even stronger cooperative relationship than last year. We pursue a high level of technology development, innovative ideas, and speed in everything we do. I’m confident that collaborating with a brand that embodies these concepts will bring benefits to both Casio and the Red Bull Racing team’.

Red Bull Racing have been in Formula One since 2005 and will be going into the new season as double defending champions after winning the 2010 Formula One Drivers and Constructors World Championship.
