The relationship between the two organisations began in 2021 with Castore replacing Nike as the club’s kit supplier. At the time, this five-year deal was thought to be the most lucrative in the club’s history.
In its new capacity as official retail partner, Castore will manage the Saracens club shop, due to launch today (14th August), with the release of a travel and training range soon after that time, followed by the release of new home and away kits ahead of the upcoming rugby season.
After finishing fourth in the 2023/24 Premiership Rugby season, Saracens’ men’s team will will kick off the new season with a trip to Kingsholm to face Gloucester on 21st September.
Mark Thompson, Saracens CEO, said, “Our relationship with Castore is constantly evolving and we are always impressed with their commitment to improving year on year with their vast catalogue of partnerships. The players and fans always have nothing but positive feedback and we are very excited to see the relationship develop over the coming years. It is very important for us to align with a company that understands our audience and also the wider rugby audience, so we are delighted to extend our partnership with Castore.”
Tom Beahon, Co-Founder of Castore added, “We are so excited to be renewing and extending our fantastic partnership with this incredible rugby club. We have loved working with them over the last few years and today’s announcement further validates both our strategies to build amazing brands, grow our awareness and provide the ultimate fan experience. We look forward to launching their new retail website ahead of more seasons of success both on and off the field.”
In November 2023, a new investment round valued Castore, which counts Sir Andy Murray as a backer, at nearly £1bn.
