Castore has announced a multi-year partnership with Newcastle United to become the club’s new kit supplier.

The agreement will see the sportswear brand become the Premier League side’s ‘On and Off-Field Partner’ from the start of the 2021/22 season, and follows similar agreements with Scottish Premiership champions Rangers and other English top flight side Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Newcastle United deal will see Castore supply new, bespoke designs for home, away and training kits. The brand also says that ‘for the first time’, fans will be able to buy the same quality Castore shirts that the players will be wearing from club stores.

The deal will also see Castore take over the day-to-day running of Newcastle’s e-commerce operations, redesigning the club’s online store and launching a ‘much wider range’ of merchandise than was previously available to Newcastle fans.

The brand will also refurbish the existing club store at St James’ Park, and will also open additional retail stores in Newcastle City Centre.

“I am thrilled to be partnering with one of the most historic and famous clubs in English football,” said Tom Beahon, Co-Founder, Castore.

“Newcastle United has a huge and deeply passionate fan base, and we look forward to giving the Toon Army something else to get excited about next season.

“We believe the partnership signals not only a new shirt for the new season but also a new start for this iconic club.”

Lee Charnley, Managing Director, Newcastle United, added: “We are delighted to confirm the new partnership between Newcastle United and Castore.

“Castore has already built a reputation as an aspirational brand in a highly competitive sportswear market and we feel they are a great partner for the club.

“We welcome them to Newcastle United and look forward to developing a mutually beneficial relationship.”

The agreement follows other deals the brand has completed in recent months, with partnerships already in place with athletes including Sir Andy Murray, Owen Farrell, and Adam Peaty, as well as the McLaren Formula 1 team.

Founded by brothers Tom and Phil Beahon in 2015, Castore is now backed by a consortium of private investors and says it expects to partner with ‘five leading clubs across Europe’ by the 2022/23 season.
