Global lubricants company Castrol has become the official performance partner of the League Managers Association (LMA).
The new deal incorporates a package of rights including LMA ambassador appearances, sponsorship of the LMA Managers Performance Table and support for Castrol’s current football portfolio that includes FIFA World Cup and UEFA EURO 2012 partnerships.
Castrol first ventured into football as a sponsor of the European Championships in 2008.
The company recently launched The Castrol Rankings to support its sponsorship of this summer’s World Cup, the world’s first objective ranking for football players which now sits alongside its Castrol Index – a system which it created for Euro 2008 – that objectively assesses individual player performances as a mark out of ten.
