London-based online car buying platform Cazoo has been named as the title sponsor of golf’s Open de France.

The tournament, which takes place on the course which hosted the 2018 Ryder Cup, will now be known as the Cazoo Open de France.

As part of the agreement, Cazoo will receive significant on-course and off-course branding, including tee boxes, markers, greenside boards, par and yardage boards, and caddy bibs. The deal has been signed after Cazoo launched in France at the end of 2021.

The agreement marks an extension of the current partnership between Cazoo and the DP World Tour, which already includes the Cazoo Open in Wales and the Cazoo Classic in England.

Alex Chesterman OBE, Founder and Chief Executive of Cazoo, said, “We’re delighted to be extending our partnership with the European Tour and adding Europe’s oldest national Open golf tournament to our portfolio of sports sponsorships.

“Following our recent launch in France, this deal gives us exposure to a great new audience and we look forward to engaging with the fans as we continue to deliver the best car-buying experience across Europe.”

This year’s Cazoo Open de France will take place from 22nd-25th September and will have a prize fund of €3m (£2.5m) – double the amount for the last edition in 2019.
