The Twenty20 Champions League has been pushed back to December to avoid clashing with the Champions Trophy.
The original dates in September meant it would could have overlapped with the Champions Trophy, taking place in Pakistan despite the security fears currently blighting that tournament.
The initial scheduling would have broken an agreement that an event cannot take place seven days after an ICC-sanctioned tournament.
The Champions League will feature two teams each from India, Australia and South Africa, plus a side from Pakistan and English Twenty20 champions Middlesex.
The ECB was hoping Twenty20 runners-up Kent would also take part but the organisers refused because they had two players who had played in the unsanctioned Indian Cricket League.
The venue for the tournament, which will now take place between 3rd and 10th December, has yet to be confirmed.
