The Skinny Food Co. has signed partnerships with EFL Championship football clubs Huddersfield Town FC, Birmingham City FC and Hull City AFC.
The three deals will run until the end of the 2021-22 season. The Nottingham-based healthy nutrition brand will become the official back-of-shorts sponsor of Huddersfield, which currently sits sixth in the Championship.
The Skinny Food Co. will benefit from considerable stadium presence at all three clubs, as well as advertising opportunities across their respective grounds.
The Skinny Food Co. was founded in 2018 and is stocked in retailers such as Morrisons, Co-Op, Home Bargains, Holland & Barrett, TK Maxx, SPAR, Aldi, B&M Bargains and Lidl.
James Whiting, Director and Co-Founder at The Skinny Food Co., highlighted the importance of selecting these specific clubs due to their catchment areas in the West Midlands, West Yorkshire and East Yorkshire.
He said, “Not only do they provide exceptional advertising opportunities that will enable us to be at the forefront of fans’ minds, but we see the deals only strengthening and growing our loyal customer bases across all three regions. These partnerships mark an exciting time for the business that we’ve no doubt will help us considerably in achieving our ambitious marketing and business objectives.”
Ian Birtley, Commercial Director at Huddersfield, added: “It’s fascinating to hear the journey that founders Wayne and James have been on over the last four years and I can’t wait to develop a relationship with such an exciting brand.”
