Channel 5 has secured UK broadcast rights to 23 matches from the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup under a sublicensing deal with DAZN.
The agreement will see 15 group matches, four round-of-16 fixtures, two quarter-finals, one semi-final, and the final shown live on Channel 5 between 14th June and 13th July.
All 63 matches of the expanded tournament will also be available globally via the DAZN app, free-to-air.
The deal marks the most high-profile football event to be televised by Channel 5, which previously aired UEFA Europa League matches and sports highlights.
Channel 5, which is owned by Paramount, will take DAZN’s live coverage for the Club World Cup, including production and commentary, and use the platform to promote DAZN’s brand.

English clubs Chelsea and Manchester City will participate in the tournament, alongside other leading sides such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Miami. The event will feature 32 clubs in total.
Lee Sears, Paramount’s President of international ad sales, said, “We’re delighted to be able to have agreed this fantastic partnership with Dazn to expand free-to-air coverage of the Fifa Club World Cup, live on 5.
“It’s going to be one of the sporting events of the summer with most of the matches played in the evening peak time and 32 of the world’s biggest clubs involved.”
