Barclays Premier League leaders Chelsea have signed a new sponsorship deal with William Lawson’s, that will see the brand become the club’s official whisky partner for the next two years.

As part of the deal the Bacardi-owned brand, which is imported from MacDuff in Scotland and is also set to launch in the United States, will have its logo appear on co-branded products and the company will be entitled to run competitions to win match tickets and merchandise.

Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay said of the deal: ‘We are very excited to be able to announce a partnership with William Lawson’s, which like Chelsea has enjoyed incredible growth over recent years.’

Bacardi Global Brands president Andy Gibson added: ‘We’re delighted to be teaming up with Chelsea Football Club, a club known for its success and winning mentality.’

William Lawson’s is a brand that has had incredible success to date and has big ambitions for future growth. We’re confident that this deal will help us to continue our upward trend.’

Chelsea currently top the table after taking three points from all four of their opening fixtures.
