Chelsea have complained to the FA that their allocation of 25,000 tickets for
the Cup final is too low.

Both Chelsea and Manchester United are given equal
allocations for the opening of the new Wembley Stadium on May 19.

The
remaining 40,000 seats are allocated to Club Wembley members and grassroots
organisations.”At a meeting yesterday Chelsea FC was advised by the Football
Association of the allocation to the clubs for the FA Cup Final at Wembley,” a
club statement said.

“We were very disappointed to receive this news as many of
our regular fans will now miss out on a great day for both clubs.”The complaint
comes days after the west London club sent back 8,000 tickets for the semi final
win over Blackburn.

Chelsea last night published details of ticket sales on
their website, showing they have 27,267 season ticket holders, of whom 4,661
enjoy corporate hospitality at Stamford Bridge and consequently may be multiple
ticket holders.

Manchester United have 65,000 season ticket holders, of whom
8,000 are corporate holders.

The FA pointed out that allocations are up by
1,500 tickets per team on last year’s final at the Millennium Stadium in
Cardiff. Of the 40,000 remaining seats, 23,000 will be made available to
representatives of the 92 FA Premier League and Football League clubs, the 134
full member clubs, the Football Foundation, the Professional Footballers’
Association, international associations, Fifa, Uefa and county football
associations.
