Premier League club Chelsea is reportedly engaged in talks to leave Stamford Bridge in favour of a move to a 60-000-seater purpose-built stadium at Earls Court Exhibition Centre.??
The Earls Court Exhibition Centre is set to demolished post Olympics and the owners, Capital & Counties, are reportedly keen to build a new ground on the site.??
There have long been rumours that the club will leave the 41,000 Stamford Bridge stadium as it is believed that the Premier League champions could easily fill a bigger ground.
??The deal could hinge on how a proposed new residential area around Earls Court that is currently under public consultation.
??Stamford Bridge has been the home of Chelsea for 105 years and there has also been suggestions that the club is planning has been to add an extra tier and 5,000 more seats, however, the concern is that it would take too long and too much revenue could be lost.
