Six-time Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy has agreed a personal endorsement deal with nutrition group Provexis, which will see Britain’s most successful Olympian of all time become a brand ambassador for the Lancashire-based company’s Science in Sport (SiS) and Fruitflow brands.
In addition, Hoy will make personal appearances at the company’s promotional events.
Provexis managing director Stephen Moon said: ‘Having used our products as an integral part of his nutrition ritual for a number of years, we are delighted to announce this new partnership. We are very proud of Chris and his achievements and it’s a major honour to have him as a sporting ambassador.’
Hoy added: ‘I have used SiS products for many years and I’m looking forward to working with them to further develop this area of my preparation and recovery. The credibility of the science and their innovative approach is the reason I chose to partner with Science in Sport.’
Despite confessing that the London 2012 Olympic Games will probably be his last, the 36-year old signed a new bike deal in November, and has been heavily involved in the build up to the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
