Glasgow 2014 has extended its sponsorship family with the signing of Cisco as the official network infrastructure supporter of next year’s Commonwealth Games, set to run from 23rd July to 3rd August.
The IT company will supply network infrastructure for the event, including 2,300 telephones, over 450 switches and routers, nearly 400 wireless access points, digital media players as well as a range of other technical devices.
As part of the agreement Cisco, which employs around 150 people in Scotland and over 73,000 people worldwide, will sponsor Team England, Team Northern Ireland, Team Scotland and Team Wales at the event.
