Citroën has signed a new three-year partnership agreement with Arsenal FC, extending its long-term deal as the club’s Official Automotive Partner that began in 2008.
As part of the deal, the car manufacturer will retain its branding presence around Emirates Stadium, Citroën and build upon its integrated partnership programme with a range of new marketing, digital, dealer and promotional activities.
Citroën will also continue to amplify the association outside the UK, within its home market of France.
As part of the agreement, Citroën will provide a number of vehicles for Arsenal coaches and staff. As well as the new C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso MPVs, and the DS line, the soon-to-be-launched C1 and C4 Cactus models will also be made available to the club’s fleet.
Linda Jackson, Citroën UK’s managing director, commented: ‘Citroën and Arsenal have enjoyed a positive and successful partnership since 2008 and we’re delighted to be continuing that association. This is a very exciting time for the Citroën brand and we look forward to sharing our fresh thinking and excitement for our new models with Arsenal and the Club’s loyal fan community.’
The brand will also be supporting the club’s community outreach programmes.
Vinai Venkatesham, sales and marketing director at Arsenal Football Club, added: ‘Citroën continue to bring tremendous enthusiasm to our association and we have enjoyed a hugely successful partnership since 2008. We are delighted to be extending and strengthening our partnership with Citroën yet further, which will run until at least 2017. We look forward to working closely with them to develop new ideas and engaging projects focused at Arsenal fans as well as the wider football community.’
