Clifford French has been appointed by Northern Ireland manager, Michael O’Neill, to provide strategic communications and commercial consultancy in the build-up to this summer’s UEFA Euro 2016.

Michael O’Neill helped create history with Northern Ireland last year, after securing a place in the finals for the first time in their history.

Clifford French will provide strategic media advice to his management team to develop brand partnerships throughout the tournament, with any partnership looking to “complement his coaching philosophy of data analysis and technology integration,” according to the agency.

Michael O’Neill said: “I was impressed by Clifford French’s experience across football, their roster of global football brands and reputation across the industry. As I prepare for France, my full focus is on preparing the team. As a result, I need a partner that can work seamlessly with my team to manage opportunities.”

Dan French, co-founder of Clifford French, added: “We are thrilled to be working with Michael as he prepares to create history for Northern Ireland. With only 17% of Michael’s squad playing in the Premier League, Northern Ireland’s qualification is one of the truly great international football stories and a testament to his coaching and man management philosophy.”
