Sir Anthony McCoy has been appointed as an ambassador for Close Brothers, UK merchant banking group, in a three-year deal negotiated by Lloyd Burns Managements.

AP McCoy will join clients at numerous events throughout the year and will help further Close Brothers’ brand activation around its sponsorship of The Jockey Club, helping increase the awareness and understanding of Close Brothers across the UK.

The former jockey’s manager Claire Burns, director, LBM added: “AP is a unique individual, who has always portrayed incredible resilience and determination to succeed throughout his phenomenal career as a jockey. He epitomises integrity, commitment and success – the very values that makes Close Brothers such a highly respected banking group”.

Close Brothers is listed on the London Stock Exchange and employs 2,800 people principally in the UK, providing lending, deposit taking, wealth management services and securities trading.
