Clubapp Launches Live Scoring Platform
ClubApp, a live scoring and teamsheet app, has recently launched in the UK after securing funding as part of its development programme in partnership with MasterCard’s Start Path Accelerator Programme.
The app aims to improve administration, participation and accessibility by allowing lower league clubs and academies to raise their profile through the platform.
The app contains real-time match updates, teamsheets, statistics, player and staff profiles. Through MasterCard’s Start Path Programme, ClubApp has had access to experts and MasterCard’s network of partners to ensure swift progression in the development of the app.
By targeting the lower leagues of football, ClubApp aims to enable fans, friends and family to keep up-to-date with their favourite teams, who traditionally receive little to no exposure on match days.
Co-founder, Greg Coleman said: “We’ve spent a lot of time developing ClubApp to ensure that anyone and everyone is able to use and follow their team on ClubApp. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved so far but this really is just the beginning and we couldn’t have gotten this far without MasterCard and the StartPath Accelerator Programme. MasterCard identify the positive impact ClubApp will bring to the lower league clubs allowing them to operate in the modern era on a professional platform.”
Less than two years after ClubApp went live, the official website has had over six million views with over 89% unique users returning from 152 countries.
