Entries to the inaugural Colour Run presented by Dulux in London have this week broken the 10,000 mark, with the Manchester edition filling up fast.

Runners of all shapes, sizes and speeds will start wearing white clothing, a blank canvas, before the kaleidoscope of colours around the course.

At each kilometre a different colour of powder is thrown in the air with the runners becoming a constantly evolving artwork.

At the end of the course runners will be greeted by the Colour Festival where the air is filled with music and coloured powder thrown.

Dulux will be giving five lucky winners a pair of tickets to take part in The Color Run in London plus up to £250 worth of Dulux coloured paint to transform their home.

Jenny Hall, Dulux marketing controller said: ‘As part of our global mission to add colour to people’s lives, we are delighted to be presenting The Color Run in the UK. We feel passionately about the positive impact colour can have, both physically and emotionally. We’re proud to be involved and are looking forward to announcing new events soon, delivering more colour transformations across the UK.’

The Color Run presented by Dulux will take place in London on 14th July and Manchester on 21st July. Further UK locations will be announced in the near future; entries are available at www.thecolorrun.co.uk

Stand Up To Cancer, the fundraising event from Cancer Research UK and Channel 4, is the official charity campaign for The Color Run. Runners will be encouraged to raise money to accelerate cancer research and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

Founder, Travis Snyder, was inspired by the Indian Holi Festival, and decided to combine the idea with a 5km running experience. From the first event in the Unites States in January 2012 The Color Run has since spread across the globe, coming to the UK for the first time this year.
