Online football community Copa 90 is using the UEFA Euro 2016 competition to roll-out its first Facebook Messenger chatbot.
Users can ask the chatbot for animated updates on latest goals, line-ups and player profiles, without needing sports rights. Content will be pulled from other football magazines, with Copa 90 partner publications like Mundial Magazine, Scotts Menswear, Kick and Panenka.

Rock Labs worked alongside Copa 90 to build the chatbot and each morning users who have previously interacted with the bot will receive a message with information and news about what they might have missed from the previous day.
James Kirkham, head of Copa90 said: “A generation is growing up wanting satisfaction on demand. We’re ensuring that we can be the perfect football accompaniment to this behaviour, providing key content as and when our audience need it.
“Messaging is the biggest thing happening in communications media right now. This is the start of something much bigger for us. We’re going to learn quickly whilst delivering what we think is a quite brilliant range of content for the discerning fan.”
