The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced that tickets are now on sale across all 18 First Class Counties for the 2013 Friends Life t20 competition, which begins in less than a months time.

With the competition hitting off on 26th June, Friends Life t20 stars from each county have taken on a unique challenge in a new video released on Wednesday.

Illustrating the unpredictable nature of the tournament, the players were tasked with a clay pigeon shoot with a cricketing twist.

Attempting to ‘shoot’ with a bat and ball, check out how they got on at Sport Industry TV.

Filmed at The Oval and Edgbaston, players included Lancashire’s Kabir Ali, Somerset’s Peter Trego and Middlesex’s Dawid Malan.

ECB chief executive David Collier – who will speak at the Nolan Partners Sport Industry Breakfast Club on 19th June – commented: ‘The Friends Life t20 competition is all about expecting the unexpected. With 90 group matches around the country, the #CrickShots video is designed to remind fans that they can experience great-value, explosive and entertaining cricket at a ground near them this summer.’

This season’s competition gets underway when reigning champions Hampshire host Surrey at the Ageas Bowl on Wednesday 26th June.

The 18 counties are split into three regional groups of six, playing each other home and away, with the top two teams from each group and the two best third-placed teams battling it out in the quarter-finals. Four teams then proceed to the showpiece Finals Day, which will this year be held on Saturday 17th August at Edgbaston.
