Peter Crouch is the latest brand ambassador to appear in McDonald’s McDelivery from Uber Eats Russia 2018 campaign.

With Italy absent from the 2018 tournament for the first time in 60 years, McDonald’s McDelivery from Uber Eats is running a #TeamForPirlo campaign to secure Italian football legend Andrea Pirlo’s support.

A new video featuring the ex-England goal-scorer shows him attempting to win the Italian World Cup winner’s backing on behalf of the England squad at this year’s finals.

Crouch joins eight other global football legends competing for Pirlo’s support with a pitch that includes the ex-England striker’s famous robot celebration.

The former Three Lions star, a veteran of two World Cup finals, said: “The lads have been bossing it in Russia so far, and I wanted to get Andrea to give the team an extra confidence boost for final group game against Belgium and beyond with his support.

“While he was tight lipped on which team he’s supporting, I’m confident he’s going to be dancing like a robot when England win the 2018 FIFA World Cup.”

Alongside Peter Crouch, the Uber Eats line-up also includes 1994 and 2002 FIFA World Cup winner Cafu (Brazil), Harry Kewell (Australia), Marcel Desailly (France) Luis Hernandez and Jared Borgetti (Mexico), Rui Patricio (Portugal), Masahiro Fukuda (Japan) and Alexandre Guimarães (Costa Rica).

As part of the campaign, Uber Eats and McDelivery are offering all new users of the Uber Eats app free delivery on all McDonald’s orders on the day of the England Vs Belgium game.
