Crypto.com To Sponsor Qatar World Cup

FIFA has announced that Crypto.com will be an official sponsor of the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.

Under terms of the new deal, the length of which has not been indicated, Crypto.com will serve as the exclusive cryptocurrency trading platform sponsor of Qatar 2022, which begins 21st November, and enjoy branding exposure both within and outside the tournament’s stadiums.

According to an official statement, as part of the Crypto.com’s activation, the company will provide opportunities for new and existing users to attend matches or win exclusive merchandise.

“Crypto.com has already demonstrated a commitment to supporting top-tier teams and leagues, major events and iconic venues across the world, and there is no platform bigger, or with a greater reach and cultural impact, than FIFA’s global platform of football,” said Kay Madati, FIFA’s Chief Commercial Officer, on announcing the deal.

“We are delighted to have a global brand like Crypto.com join us as a sponsor of the exciting and ground-breaking FIFA World Cup in Qatar, ultimately helping to grow our beautiful game on a global scale,” Madati added.

The new agreement with footballs international governing body is the latest in a series of eye-catching sponsorship deals for the cryptocurrency platform.

In February 2022, Crypto.com sealed a nine-year deal with the promoters of the Miami Formula One Grand Prix, while in November 2021 it struck a 20-year agreement with the Staples Center, thought to be the largest venue naming rights deal in US history.
