Former Lagardère Sports US COO Jay Danzi has been appointed by WME as a partner, with world number three Jordan Spieth joining him in the move, who will now be represented by both WME and IMG.

The long-time sports executive will be joined by his team including Jordan Lewites and Laura Moses, as well as various consulting clients, such as Spieth.

In addition to managing Spieth and continuing his work in golf and consulting, Danzi will also look to cultivate new business opportunities across the entire Endeavor network.

“Jordan is a world-class talent, and we’re excited to welcome him to the family,” said Patrick Whitesell, executive chairman, Endeavor. “When you look at what he and Jay have already accomplished and consider WME and IMG’s ability to amplify Jordan’s reach across entertainment and sports, the possibilities are endless. Additionally, in adding Jay and his team of creative, strategic executives to the fold, we’re increasing our expertise across brand strategy, sales, talent management and corporate consulting. I look forward to all we’re going to accomplish together.”

Spieth’s most recent success includes his third-place finish at the Masters earlier this month. Still just 24 years old, Spieth has 14 worldwide victories, including three major championships, making him and Jack Nicklaus the only two golfers to win three majors prior to the age of 24.

“Jordan, my team and I are excited about joining forces with everyone at WME, IMG and the broader Endeavor network,” said Danzi. “Their incredible expertise and resources will help us navigate the ever-evolving media landscape and allow us to continue advancing Jordan’s highly respected brand, especially in non-traditional avenues. Additionally, I’m looking forward to collaborating with senior leadership on various new projects and ventures.”

During his time at Lagardère Sports, Danzi was involved in building or overseeing numerous areas of business, including the company’s brand consulting, sales, and golf consulting groups.

Prior to joining Lagardère Sports in 2013, Danzi founded Forefront Sports Group, a startup focused on digital, golf consulting and client management. Previously, he was managing director and senior vice president at Wasserman Media Group and also previously served as vice president and global head of recruiting for IMG’s golf business.
