Darlington Football Club will fulfil the next three league fixtures after the DFC Rescue Club met demands of administrators to put £50,000 in place to secure the Blue Square Bet Premier club until the end of the month.
Administrators had decided to close the club before the last minute offer.
The situation looked bleak for the club, after former chairman Raj Singh placed the club into a third period of administration with a decade, at the beginning of the year and is the closest the club has come to folding in its 128 year history.
Players and staff of the club were told to seek new employment last week after being made redundant by administrators, and volunteers would be required to help games take place.
Interim boss Craig Liddle has revealed that he has nine senior professionals and a squad of youth team players available for the fixture, at home to Fleetwood, on Saturday.
The game is followed by a midweek trip to Hayes & Yeading and York at home next weekend.
40 year old Liddle could also bring himself out of retirement, nearly six years after his last game.
