DAZN Group has hired a new Chief People Officer, as well as appointing a new Chief Legal officer. The news comes after a leadership change at the online streaming service, which appointed James Rushton as Acting CEO in June.
Shaun Conning (pictured) has been appointed Chief People Officer at the organisation. Before joining DAZN, Conning founded Encompass People and Tapd Solutions, consultancies providing executive coaching and people technology solutions to corporate clients. He has also served in HR, Commercial and Operational roles at the likes of Compass Group, Comet and Marks & Spencer.
At DAZN, Conning will be responsible for the Group’s HR and People functions, overseeing the organisation’s strategy to enhance the employer value proposition and foster diversity, inclusion, creativity and innovation. He will report directly to Acting CEO, Rushton, as part of the executive committee management team.
Meanwhile, DAZN has also promoted Ben Barlow to the role of Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel.
Barlow will be responsible for DAZN Group’s global legal affairs including corporate governance, corporate compliance, and regulatory matters, including rights and content, commercial partnerships, distribution and technology, intellectual property and company secretarial matters.
Prior to joining DAZN Group’s legal team in 2013, Barlow worked in private practice at Olswang LLP (now CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP).
