DAZN Unveils Jama, Costello And Woods As Part Of Boxing Talent Line-up

DAZN has announced its presenter and commentary line-up after agreeing a five-year deal with Matchroom Boxing to screen the promotor’s bouts, beginning with the second instalment of Fight Camp across three weekends in July and August.

DAZN coverage will be fronted by presenters Maya Jama and Laura Woods, with former BBC boxing and athletics correspondent Mike Costello taking the reins as lead commentator.

Costello will leave his role at the BBC after 15 years to take the new position, having covered seven Olympic Games and a host of world title fights with the broadcaster.

Meanwhile, TV and radio broadcaster Maya Jama will front coverage, having presented a variety of flagship shows for Channel 4, ITV, and the BBC across TV and radio. She most-recently co-presented the BBC show Save Our Summer and this year’s Year-Late Euros with former England striker Peter Crouch. 

The trio will join the likes of former WBC cruiserweight World Champion Tony Bellew and former WBO Middleweight World Champion Andy Lee, as well as presenter and commentator Chris Lloyd on the coverage.
