Sports and entertainment platform DAZN Group has secured a multi-year broadcast deal with Formula 1.
The deal see DAZN secure the rights for coverage of the motorsport in for Japan until 2025.
The deal will commence at the start of the 2023 season, when DAZN subscribers in Japan will be able to watch highlights of all 23 race weekends, including practice and qualifying sessions, F1 Sprint events, and Grand Prix.
DAZN will also offer three days of comprehensive coverage of Bahrain’s preseason testing. As the season opens in Bahrain 5th March, viewers will have the chance to follow all 20 drivers, including Japanese racer Yuki Tsunoda.
Together with the FIA Formula 1 Championship, DAZN will also air races from the FIA Formula 2 Championship, which will feature Ayumu Iwasa of Japan, the FIA Formula 3 Championship, and the Porsche Supercup.
