Law firm Prettys has signed a deal with The Professional Cricketers Association (PCA) to provide its members with a free Will service.
The service provides every PCA member with a free ‘standard’ Will with the option to upgrade the free advice to include inheritance tax planning advice and assistance with more complicated Wills at a special PCA rate, as well as providing access to an array of other services.
This agreement follows a successful first year partnership between Prettys and the PCA in 2010.
According to the latest Will Aid research, over 60% of British people do not have a Will, often because they mistakenly believe that their loved ones will automatically inherit – but this may not necessarily be the case.
Those most in need of a Will are the least likely to have one. This includes people with children, stepchildren and children from previous relationships, those who are separated but not divorced and those who live together without being married or in a civil partnership.
Vikram Solanki, chairman of The PCA, comments: ‘Prettys has been a fantastic asset to The PCA and we are delighted to confirm our partnership for the coming year’.
‘It is unbelievable how many people do not have a Will and I would urge our members to take advantage of the Prettys’ offer to ensure your valued assets pass to your loved ones’.
