The UK travel provider for professional sports clubs and governing bodies, Destination Sport Travel has supported Ulster Rugby with its team and business travel requirements since the 2019 season.
The renewal kicks off with Ulster Rugby’s senior men’s squad will depart for South Africa on Wednesday 22nd February to face United Rugby Championship rival, Cell C Sharks, in Durban, with travel and accommodation once again handled by Destination Sport Travel.
Meanwhile sister business Sportsbreaks.com will provide opportunities for Ulster Rugby fans to follow their club to selected overseas matches, whilst also offering ticket inclusive packages to sporting events that include international rugby, football and Formula 1.
Ulster Rugby CEO Jonny Petrie, commented, “Destination Sport Travel is a valued partner of the club, and we are delighted they will continue to support our senior men’s team travel in the seasons ahead.
“Competing in the United Rugby Championship and Heineken Champions Cup requires our professional players and staff to regularly travel to away fixtures, with efficient journeys critical to us delivering a performance on the pitch.
“Equally, it is important to us as a club that our supporters are able to feel part of our games away from home and, thanks to Sportsbreaks.com, they are now able to make a welcome return to travelling alongside us.”
Managing Director of Destination Sport Travel and Sportsbreaks.com Rob Slawson commented, “We’re thrilled to continue our relationship with Ulster Rugby.
“Our offering is particularly unique in that via Destination Sport Travel and Sportsbreaks.com, both market-leading solutions in their respective areas, we can cater for both team and supporter requirements.
“After a few years of covid protocols, it was great to see Ulster Rugby return to having supporters travel on the team aircraft earlier this season. We know these trips are enjoyed by fans and players alike.
“We’d like to wish the very best to Ulster Rugby for their fixture in South Africa this weekend.”
