Diamond League Returns To London As 2021 Calendar Released
The Wanda Diamond League has released its provisional calendar for the 2021 season, including a July date in London.
The season will see a return to a full schedule of 14 meetings culminating in a, culminating in a Zurich finale in September.
2021 will be the league’s 12th season, and will begin on 23rd May at the International Mohammed VI Stadium in the Moroccan capital Rabat.
The London Meeting will follow stops in Stockholm and Monaco, before a month-long pause for the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
A Meeting which was scheduled to take place in Gateshead, however, has not been included in the provisional calendar.
Organisers, meanwhile, say they are monitoring the situation with regard to the coronavirus pandemic, and say the calendar is ‘strictly provisional’ at this stage and remains ‘subject to changes depending on the global health situation in 2021.
