Dice, the online career site for the technology community, has launched a project in association with UEFA after the brand was chosen as the governing body’s exclusive tech partner.

During the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Euro 2016 and UEFA Super Cup, UEFA will be providing Dice with unique content, designed to provide insights into one of sport’s most famous organisations.

Dice will be responsible for seeding content to the tech community via multiple digital channels. The content will be a mix of videos, infographics and editorial pieces hosted on a dedicated microsite uk.dice.com/uefa. Dice is working with UEFA to bring football to the tech community and showcase the role tech plays within the world of football.

To mark the launch of the project, Dice is also launching a Hot Skills competition, with 2,000 branded footballs being distributed across Europe. Entrants will be encouraged to showcase their football talent with a short video, with the winner being chosen based on flair and creativity.

The competition starts on 24th June and entrants need to upload their video by Monday 8th August to the Dice Facebook page or Twitter feed, using the hashtag #DICEUEFA. The overall winner will win a Playstation 4, with a bag of UEFA merchandise and Subbuteo set.

Jamie Bowler, marketing director, Dice Europe commented: “Technology has developed football in recent years as analysis and statistics play an increasing role in sport globally. The project with UEFA is a great way to show how technology and sport go hand in hand. The beautiful game is loved by tech professionals all over the world, so we are hoping to deliver on our promise of bringing football to the tech community.”

Jason Evans, senior HR manager, UEFA added: “I am really excited about bringing the UEFA People project to the tech community which will give a unique look at what it’s like to work at UEFA through the eyes of our own staff. We will go behind the scenes of our competitions to really show how, through technology and the work of our employees, these great competitions come together for football fans across the world. Without great staff, the power of technology cannot be maximised and therefore UEFA would not be able to achieve what it does.”
