Media company Discovery will offer a series of documentaries this week as it builds up to the start of its coverage of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing this Friday.

Discovery has launched a promotional trailer ahead of ‘One Last Push’, a documentary following Greg Rutherford and his team as they attempted to qualify for the bobsleigh event at Beijing 2022.

Rutherford won gold medals in the triple jump at several major events, including the London 2012 Olympics and the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, before coming out of retirement to try to break into winter sports.

The one-hour, fly-on-the-wall documentary premieres on Eurosport across Europe on 1st February at 19:00 CET before becoming available in the UK on the discovery+ streaming platform on 2nd February.

Another documentary, ‘A Brilliant Curling Story’, focusing on the fortunes of five curlers from Scotland who came together to win gold at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, will also be shown on discovery+ in the UK, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, from today (31st January).

Discovery’s coverage of Beijing 2022 will span Europe, excluding Russia. The discovery+ platform will show coverage in the UK, as well as Denmark, Finland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden. In all other European markets, except Russia, coverage of the Games will be available on Eurosport’s digital services, with Eurosport’s television coverage available in all territories.
