Novak Djokovic has agreed a deal with Jacob’s Creek that will see the men’s tennis world number one star in a series of short films for the Australian wine brand ahead of the Australian Open in January 2015.

The new project, shot as part of Jacob’s Creek’s ‘Made By’ global marketing campaign, will see the Serbian star reveal stories about his life in the documentary-style series, which was filmed in his hometown of Belgrade by US filmmaker Keith Ehrlich.

The series will be launched globally on 13th January 2015 to coincide with the Australian Open Grand Slam, which Jacob’s Creek currently sponsors.

Djokovic said: ‘Partnering with Jacob’s Creek has given me the opportunity to tell the world my story for the first time, showing what I’ve been shaped and inspired by. Stay tuned for the full films release very soon.’

Derek Oliver, the global marketing director for Jacob’s Creek, said: ‘Jacob’s Creek has a long standing affiliation with professional tennis and Novak personifies the authentic spirit that we celebrate.’

‘Both Jacob’s Creek and Novak are proud of what we are Made By, partnering together we are taking Novak’s Made By story to the world.’

Jacob’s Creek has previously employed retired tennis star Andre Agassi to front its Open Film series.
