ECB Partners With Chapel Down
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has entered a partnership with wine producer Chapel Down, naming it as its official sparkling wine.
The partnership will see Chapel Down’s sparkling wine offered to winning teams on the podium at all Men’s International, Women’s International and Domestic Finals. The wine’s first appearance will be at the LV= County Championship which starts on the 7th April.
This is the first time the ECB has partnered with an English sparkling wine brand, following previous partnerships with Champagne.
Chapel Down CEO, Andrew Carter, said, “We are thrilled to be the official sparkling wine to the England and Wales Cricket Board and delighted that future English cricket success will be celebrated with Chapel Down, English sparkling wine.”
ECB Sales & Marketing Director, Russell James, commented, “We are delighted to be bringing some sparkle to the cricket summer through this partnership with Chapel Down. It’s great to be teaming up with a quality home-grown brand across international, domestic and recreational cricket.”
This is not Chapel Down’s first step into the world of British sport. The brand is already the official sparkling wine of the Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race and is showcased across Ascot Racecourse throughout the year.
